Yesterday's guide was rather limited so we went again this morning with another guide who was MUCH better. So some additional pictures etc.
This is a rubber bullet. They are supposed to be fired from 30 ft at the lower body but these were fired at close range and killed.

This is one of 3 gates that still separate Protestant and Catholic neighborhoods. They are closed every evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. People can't pass though the other side but have to go "the long way around to get to the center of Belfast. There is a gate beyond this one you can see better in the picture below. The area between is No Man's Land.
There used to be factories here on the edge of the 2 communities and a door on each side. Women from each side would enter and work side by side all day and then return to their separated homes.
